ANOTHER Team Lakay warrior enters the big league after ONE Championship signed promising bantamweight Jeremy Pacatiw.

“I know this is God’s plan. This is the perfect time for me to join ONE,” said Pacatiw. “When coach Mark (Sangiao) told me that I will be signed, I was very excited and happy. But I was also nervous because I know that in ONE Championship, I’ll be fighting against high-caliber athletes. There’s also pressure because I’m a part of a well-known team like Team Lakay.”

The 25-year-old Pacatiw is the third Team Lakay fighter to be inked by the ONE Championship in 2021. In February, Asia’s biggest MMA organization signed former Brave CF bantamweight king Stephen Loman and earlier this month welcomed Mark’s 19-yearold son, Jhanlo Mark Sangiao, into the ONE Championship roster.

Like Loman, Pacatiw last fought in Bahrain-based Brave CF. He fought 10 bouts for Brave CF and went 6-4 in the organization.

Pacatiw is coming off a huge win over Brazilian Felipe Efrain, who he knocked out in the first round, in Brave 33 on Dec. 27, 2019 in Saudi Arabia.

Pacatiw has a record of 10-4, wherein four of his wins ended either by knockout or submission.

Pacatiw will be competing in ONE Championship’s stacked bantamweight division that features the likes of ONE bantamweight king Bibiano Fernandes, Team Lakay’s Kevin Belingon, former UFC fighter John Lineker, Yusup Saadulaev, Fabricio Andrade and Shoko Sato.

“My short-term goal is to gain the hearts of the fans and give them a good fight,” said Pacatiw. “I want my debut to be an impressive win, and I need to work to be able to reach my goals.”
